Transition to Parenting

Transition to ParentingWorkshop

IT’S TIME TO LOOK BEYOND BIRTH!
TO BE PREPARED FOR THE JOURNEY OF PARENTING.

The birth of your baby is a very special moment.  One that you will (hopefully) be able to look back on in the years to come with joy in your heart.

It is however, just the beginning of an amazing, terrifying, confusing and tough journey on the road of parenting.  Many parents travel this road not knowing what is around the next corner or over the next hill and with no idea how to cope with whatever is along the road.

The Transition to Parenting Workshop will provide you with:

* Knowledge of a typical infants behaviour in the first 12 months
* Confidence in your ability to parent as a team
* Ways to communicate with your support team

BECAUSE YOU ARE READY TO BE AN AWESOME PARENT

Not long ago, I was sitting where you are now.  I was pregnant with my first child and completely overwhelmed with all the information available telling me the ‘right’ way to birth and to raise my baby.

Completely bewildered about my birth options, breastfeeding, and what to expect in the first year I put my faith in the antenatal classes run by the hospital in which I was to give birth.

I came away from my two 2 hour sessions feeling even more confused and convinced that if I didn’t breastfeed I would be letting my baby down and be a ‘bad’ mother.

I had no confidence in my ability to handle anything my baby girl threw at me and no knowledge if what she was doing was ‘normal’.

I had a list as long as my arm of things I wish I had been told before she arrived, and I wasn’t alone.  I have spoken with many mothers over the years and I found a number of them frustrated with the focus or lack of information provided at the antenatal classes.  Some even left the classes halfway through.

PICTURE THIS:
YOU ARE A CALM AND CONFIDENT PARENT PREPARED FOR THE UPS AND DOWNS OF THE JOURNEY.

When you book your seat at the one-day Transition to Parenting workshop you can expect to join a small, intimate group of other future parents.

Together you will experience three two-hour sessions over the day, exploring babys behaviours in the first 12 months, creating strong parenting and support teams and labour and birth options.

The intention of the workshop is to provide you with the knowledge, tips and techniques to empower you on your early parenting journey and give you the head start that I, and so many others, wish we had had.
